Long Island Brewery Trail — Summer Saturday Tour
Long Island has 20+ active craft breweries — Greenport Brewing, Blue Point in Patchogue, Long Ireland in Riverhead, Six Harbors in Huntington, Brickhouse in Patchogue, and the East End cluster. The Brewery Trail passport gets you a tasting + free pint at each participating brewery. Designated drivers + Uber budget required.
Long Island has 20+ active craft breweries, organized into the Long Island Brewery Trail — a passport program that tracks visits and offers prize tiers at 5, 10, 15, and 20 breweries. Summer Saturdays are peak season; most breweries run live music, food trucks, or outdoor seating from May through October.
The geographic clusters:
- Patchogue cluster (most walkable): Brickhouse Brewery + Blue Point Brewing — 5-minute walk between them
- Riverhead-Wading River cluster: Long Ireland Brewing + Crooked Ladder Brewing + Greenport Harbor Brewing (in Peconic)
- Huntington-Northport cluster: Six Harbors Brewing + Sand City Brewing
- East End cluster: Greenport Brewing Co. (Greenport) + Moustache Brewing (Riverhead)
Practical:
- Designated driver required unless you’re committing to one brewery per outing
- Most breweries serve flights ($12-18) and pints ($7-10)
- Food trucks at many — phone the brewery to confirm
- Family-friendly: some breweries are kid-friendly until 7 PM (Greenport Brewing, Six Harbors). Others are 21+ only.
- Dog-friendly: most have outdoor patios that allow leashed dogs
Best paired with: a North Fork wine tasting day (same designated driver, different vibe) or a Patchogue downtown afternoon.
